Checking-In with an Update!

Hello everyone! You probably thought I "fell off the cyber map" because it's been a while since I've posted a blog. But I haven't fallen off the map at all. Actually, God has been doing some pretty amazing things. So I wanted to check-in with a quick update on three fronts...

First, the Lord has been opening some neat doors for more writing opportunities. I just finished (2/14/11) a second writing assignment for a devotional pubication, and one of my articles entitled "Leadership Lessons: Strength, Strategy, and Security" is posting for the first two weeks of March (2011) at an on-line magazine (www.disciplemagazine.com). My prayer is that God will use these writings for His purposes!

Second, the Lord has been leading in some amazing ways at our local Church through a multi-site vision for ministry and mission expansion. A multi-site vision is simply one Church in more than one location. We actually "launched" our first site yesterday (2/27/11) at our Nations campus in Hammond, and we are praying about another possible opportunity in the near future as well. Please pray that God will lead us as we seek to follow Him. Without Him we can do nothing (see John 15:5).

Third, the Lord has been blessing in using Reaching the Next Level. I am currently teaching three groups through the book right now! Whew! I'm acutally wrapping-up a group in the next week or two on Wednesday mornings. This is a group of about 15 ladies who've been going through the study. Also, I'm teaching two groups on Sundays. At 10 o'clock in the moring, I'm meeting with about half a dozen college students at our Church, and at 7 o'clock in the evening, I'm meeting with about 50 folks at our Church. We're having a great time in the Word as we're all Reaching the Next Level by God's grace and for His glory!

Okay, there's a lot more going on, but this is the "quick" update. I'll hopefully be posting some more blogs again in the near future. I appreciate your prayers and trust the Lord is doing a mighty work in your lives everyday (Philemon 6)!

Blessings...
