Praise Be to the Lord - Peru 2010

Okay, the Peru 2010 teaching conference is now in the books! And the Lord did some absolutely amazing things today.

We saw about 110 people hit the streets of Huancayo with the Gospel. We were able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with almost 200 people. And we received reports of over 45 decisions for Christ in the span of about 2 1/2 hours! Praise the Lord!

Also, Dr. Tolbert brought a challenging and encouraging message to everyone who attended the conference for one final session with the men and women together. We learned how to stand firm in the victory of our Lord Jesus. It was a wonderful time to reflect and rejoice in Christ´s finished work on our behalf.

And to top everything off, we were finished at the Church for about 10:00 PM. That´s nearly two hours earlier than I thought we would finish. So we´re heading to bed because we have to be in the hotel lobby at 8:30 AM and on the vans at 9:00 AM to begin our journey back through the Andes Mountains, and hopefully, we´ll miss rush hour traffic in Lima!

Again, we appreciate all your wonderful prayer support, and it´s great to know that you´ll be interceding for us as we travel most of the day tomorrow.

If I could, I would like for you to continue to pray for some of our missionaries in Peru: Jim Gilstrap (a retired school teacher from the States) and David and Cameron Olson.

You know, we´re absolutely exhausted, and we´ll be heading home soon to get some rest. But these dear servants of God have a group of about 100 World Changers coming in tomorrow to begin their mission trip here! Can you imagine how much prayer support they need constantly from us?

Please join me in lifting them up the Lord long after these blog posts on our mission trip to Peru are completed, but they remain on the field day after day serving the Lord Christ. I think all of these people should have their faces plastered on Wheaties boxes! But the reality is that their reward is coming one day when they stand before Christ and hear Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." A cereal box will disappear, but this commendation from Christ will echo throughout eternity.

To God be the glory!
